How to upload your singleplayer world to a Valheim server
Step 1
Launch Valheim game and from the character selection screen, choose the "Manage saves" option.
Step 2
Select the saved game you want to upload to the server and click the "Move to local" button.
If the saved world is already on your PC, you can skip the previous steps 1 and 2, as those instructions are for worlds that are saved in the cloud.
Step 3
Go to the following path on your PC: %USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow
and look for the folder IronGate > Valheim > worlds_local
. There you will find the files of your saved world.
To go to the previous path %USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow
, you can copy and paste the path in the address bar of the Windows file explorer or in the Windows Run menu by pressing the keys: Win + R
Step 4
Now go to the File Manager in the game panel and upload all the files of your saved world into the folder: .config > unity3d > IronGate > Valheim > worlds_local
on your server.
Remember to upload ALL the files of your world. These files may have .fwl or .db format, upload all of them including those that say backup.
Step 5
Finally, from the Startup tab of the game panel, under "World Name", you need to specify the name of the world you uploaded so that when starting the server, it loads your world.
Step 6
โ That's it! You can now join the server. If you have any problem, contact us by Discord (opens in a new tab) so we can help you.
