How to change the game speed
Hytale lets you adjust both the time speed of the world and the movement speed of players. These settings are useful for building, testing mechanics, or creating a custom experience.
Both settings require admin (operator) permissions on the server.
Time speed
You can change the time dilation of the world using a command. The value range is 0.1 to 4, with 1 being the default.
Run the following command from the Console tab in your Game Panel, or in the in-game chat as an admin:
/time dilation <value>Examples:
/time dilation 0.5— slows time to half speed/time dilation 2— doubles the speed of time/time dilation 1— resets to default
Move speed
Player movement speed is adjusted in-game through the creative mode inventory.
Step 1
Join the server with your admin account and switch to creative mode. You can do this by running /gamemode creative in the in-game chat.
Step 2
Open your inventory and locate the Move Speed option. Set it to your desired value.
The value range is 0.1 to 10, with 1 being the default.
