How to change your server version

โš ๏ธ

Changing the server version will replace the server .jar and libraries. We strongly recommend creating a backup before proceeding.

Step 1

Access your Game Panel and navigate to your Minecraft Java server. Once there, go to the Versions section in the left sidebar.

Step 2

In the Version Installer, use the CATEGORY dropdown to filter by server type (e.g., Vanilla, Paper, Forge, Fabric, NeoForge, etc.). You can also use the SEARCH QUERY field to find a specific version.

Step 3

Find the version you want to install and click the Install button on its card.

Step 4

A confirmation modal will appear. Read it carefully:

  • The DELETE EXISTING FILES? toggle deletes all your server files before installing. Keep it disabled if you only want to update the game version and preserve your world, plugins, and config files.
  • Enable it only if you want a completely clean installation.

Once ready, click Install to confirm.

Step 5

Wait for the installation to complete. Once finished, start your server from the Console tab.

After a major version update (e.g., 1.20 โ†’ 1.21), some plugins may not be compatible with the new version. Check your plugin list and update them as needed.

โœ… That's it! Your server version has been successfully updated. If you have any problems, contact us via Discord (opens in a new tab) so we can help you.
