How to enable Aikar's Flags
Aikar's Flags are a set of JVM startup arguments optimized specifically for Minecraft servers. They tune the Java garbage collector (G1GC) to reduce lag spikes caused by memory cleanup, resulting in smoother gameplay and more stable performance — especially on servers with many players or heavy workloads.
Aikar's Flags are available for Paper, Spigot, Purpur, and Vanilla servers. This option is not available for modded server types such as Forge, Fabric, or NeoForge.
Step 1
Access your Game Panel and navigate to your Minecraft Java server. Once there, go to the Startup section in the left sidebar.
Step 2
Scroll down to the Startup Variables section and locate the AIKAR'S FLAGS toggle. Click on it to enable it.
Step 3
Restart your server from the Console tab for the changes to take effect.
