How to install mods
Mods require a modloader server such as Forge, Fabric, NeoForge, or Quilt. Make sure to install the correct server type first from the Versions tab before installing any mods.
Method 1 โ Install mods from the Mods tab
Step 1
Access your Game Panel and navigate to your Minecraft Java server. Once there, go to the Mods section in the left sidebar.

Step 2
Use the filters to find the mod you want to install:
- Search โ type the mod name to find it quickly.
- Versions โ filter by your server's Minecraft version.
- Server Loaders โ select the modloader your server uses (e.g., Forge, Fabric, NeoForge).
- Providers โ switch between Modrinth and other sources.
The mods you install must match the server loader you are using. For example, if your server runs Forge, only install mods that are compatible with Forge.

Step 3
Once you find the mod, click the Install button on its card. A modal will open showing all available versions for that mod.
Step 4
In the version modal, use the Versions and Server Loaders dropdowns to filter for your setup, then click Install next to the compatible version.

Step 5
A green notification will confirm the mod was successfully installed in your Mods folder. Restart your server from the Console tab so the mod loads properly.

Method 2 โ Install mods manually
If the mod is not available in the panel, you can upload the .jar file directly.
Step 1
Download the mod .jar file from a trusted source such as Modrinth (opens in a new tab) or CurseForge (opens in a new tab). Make sure the mod version matches your server's Minecraft version and modloader.
Step 2
Stop your server from the Console tab before uploading any files.
Step 3
Go to the Files section in the left sidebar and navigate to the /mods folder. If it does not exist, create it.
Step 4
Upload the .jar file by dragging and dropping it into the folder, or by clicking the Upload button.

Step 5
Start your server from the Console tab. The mod will load automatically on startup.
Additional Notes:
- Some mods require dependency mods (e.g., Cloth Config API, Fabric API) to work. Check the mod's page for requirements.
- If the server fails to start after installing a mod, check the console logs for errors โ the mod may be incompatible with your current version or another installed mod.
โ That's it! Your mod has been successfully installed. If you have any problems, contact us via Discord (opens in a new tab) so we can help you.
