How to upload a custom world
Uploading a singleplayer or downloaded world to your Bedrock server lets you share it with other players and explore it together. This guide walks through exporting the world from your Minecraft client and uploading it to your VexyHost server.
If your server already has a world you want to keep, create a backup before proceeding.
Part 1 โ Export the world from Minecraft Bedrock
Step 1
Open Minecraft Bedrock and click Play.

Step 2
Find the world you want to upload and click the Edit (pencil) button next to it.

Step 3
On the General tab, scroll to the bottom and click Export World, then click Export to save the .mcworld file to your computer.

Save the .mcworld file somewhere easy to find, such as your Desktop.

Part 2 โ Upload the world to your server
Step 1
Access your Game Panel and navigate to your Minecraft Bedrock server. Stop the server from the Console tab before uploading any files.
Step 2
Go to the File Manager section and open the worlds/ folder.
If the worlds/ folder does not exist, start your server once and stop it โ the folder is created automatically on first startup.

Step 3
Inside the worlds/ folder, create a new folder by clicking the folder icon at the top right. Give it a short name with no spaces or special characters (e.g., MyWorld). This name will be used to identify the world on the server.

Step 4
Enter the new folder and upload the .mcworld file by dragging and dropping it, or clicking the upload button.

Step 5
Right-click the .mcworld file and select Rename. Change the file extension from .mcworld to .zip and confirm.

Step 6
Right-click the .zip file and select Extract Here to decompress the world files into the folder. Once extracted, you can delete the .zip file.

Part 3 โ Point the server to the new world
Step 1
Go to the Files Config section in the left sidebar and click on Server Properties.

Step 2
Find the LEVEL-NAME field and set its value to the exact folder name you created in Part 2 (e.g., MyWorld).

Step 3
Click Save content at the top right, then start your server from the Console tab.
โ That's it! Your server will now load the world you uploaded. If you have any problems, contact us via Discord (opens in a new tab) so we can help you.
